Ask the Planning Board to reschedule the November 8 Hearing so that it can be held in the evening to allow working people to attend.

Despite many requests from the community and civic organizations that a hearing on Woodmont East be held in the evening, the Planning Board has scheduled a hearing for 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 8.

Please re-schedule the hearing on Woodmont East so that all members of the community can participate, including working people. The Woodmont East project received a 90-day extension until January, so there is no need to hold this hearing before an evening date can be scheduled.  

As you know from hundreds of emails that have been sent, putting a 12-story hotel in the heart of Bethesda -- at the nexus of the Capital Crescent Trails, where the community and trail users want greenspace -- is a highly controversial plan that should be weighed with input from those in the community who want to participate in this decision-making process.
